THE INSPIRATION

I am a creative fine art photographer living in Oakville Ontario Canada

My name is Dodie Prieditis

With these images, I want to share with you, the viewer, what has inspired me to create Little Pine Tree Studio.

My earliest experience with visual arts was on stage while dancing, modelling and working with stage directors. With that experience, I was able to develop my instincts and my love for visual design. Then I discovered photography. Soon I was fascinated by its power to capture a fleeting moment and keep it forever.

As my love for dance and photography continued to grow, demanding more and more ways of expression. it seemed a natural progression to combine both visual arts into one creative fine art form. Here I could mix the aspects of each form I loved most. For me there was, magic in that combination. My imagination was ignited.

At that time, what I enjoyed most was the challenge of capturing and communicating the energy I felt emanating from within the images.

After much study and experimentation, I found the creative potential in photography even more exciting.  As time went by my love for this medium just continued to grow.

As I expanded and developed a deep passion for many different genres of photography, I came to realize that there are many ways to feel and see the essence of an image.

Every time I see the grace and artistry created by dancers or the magical mood in a misty landscape, I am inspired once again. When I see a structure highlighted in black and white or experience the complementary contrasts from the near and the far, I want to capture and share the excitement in that fleeting moment. What I especially enjoy is viewing realism and comparing that with impressionism that I both see and feel.

With these images I want to share with you, the viewer, the magic, power, excitement and joy that I feel when I am creating them. I hope you enjoy experiencing them as much as I did, creating them.

I am always encouraged and inspired when I see how people in all walks of life can use their experience and intentionally create something of value to share with others.

Let me introduce to you below, three people who have brought their vision to life and created something of value that they continue to share with their audience and society at large.

Linda Dawn Brown-Thomson MD

Retired physician, Creator of children’s book “Finding Us”

Kingston, Ontario

I am a retired family physician who has a long history of involvement in both dance and creative writing. These two artistic pursuits lent balance to my clinical practice. Medicine, in itself, is not a pure science, and, in my opinion, a good physician embraces the art as well as the science of practising medicine. I guess I am, at heart, a hybrid. I will endeavour to share my thoughts on the creative process and realizing my vision.
